§ 14-40. Definitions.

The terms used in this division shall have the same meaning as given to them in Public Act No. 197 of 1975 (MCL 125.1651 et seq.) or as hereafter in this section provided unless the context clearly indicates to the contrary. The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this division, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Act 197 means Public Act No. 197 of 1975 (MCL 125.1651 et seq.).

Authority means the Greenville Downtown Development Authority created by this division.

Board or board of trustees means the governing body of the authority.

Chief executive officer means the mayor of the city.

Downtown district means the downtown district designated by this division as now existing or hereafter amended.
